Abhyudaya , an initiative from Keshav Kripa Samvardhana Samiti (R), Bengaluru has taken up an initiative in safeguarding the front line social and health workers across Bangalore municipality wards during this pandemic.  Pourakarmikas (Street Sweepers and Garbage van drivers), Frontline COVID test assistants (Asha karyakarte) and Police personnel are our key defence while fighting against corona. Most of them are under privileged, deprived of basic health benefits, but exposed to adverse conditions. Hence, Safeguarding their health is critical to society.  

Abhyudaya participated in #DaanUtsav an India wide event to do something good for our fellow citizens. Abhyudaya taken up a project to educate underprivileged Social and Health workers on the safety measures and provide them PPE kit and herbal medicine (kashaya) as a health care preventive steps. This activity started from Gandhi Jayanti (Oct. 2) onwards with initial target to reach over 10,000 underprivileged beneficiaries.

In the current week of Deepavali, Abhyudaya has distributed over 700 underprivileged Pourakarmikas (Street sweepers and Garbage van drivers) at their work location in below BBMP wards. And also Abhyudaya volunteers educated them on the health safety tips.

Abhyudaya is also driving another project Livelihood Support for families who lost the jobs due to Covid. In a step towards Aatma Nirbhar Bharat along with empowering the affected families Abhyudaya is distributing Sewing machines to the deserved families, the first batch of identifying beneficiaries was completed during Navaratri period.

Abhyudaya started in 2004 as a project under Keshava Kripa Samvardhana Samiti (KKSS), a Non-Profit Organization (NGO). Key focus group is Socially deprived children, their families and the neighbourhood, and the mission is to impart education holistically. Starting out as a free tuition center with 12 students, currently Abhyudaya reaches out to more than 3,600 students, spread across remote villages and slum clusters of Bengaluru supporting value based education, healthcare and life skill related activities. We believe, it is our solemn duty to educate children for the benefit of the society and country at large.
