Shri. Amith Kumar conducted an engaging session on the importance of storytelling and developing reading habits among children. Through his narration of the Pandavas’ exile from the Mahabharata, he introduced various characters from the epic in an interesting and relatable manner. He also shared the story of Vikram and Betal, capturing the attention of the participants.

He emphasized that teachers at the Learning Centre should regularly incorporate storytelling into their sessions and encourage children by asking questions during the narration. This approach helps improve children’s memory, thinking ability, and overall engagement in learning.

Kumari. Kavya from AHEAD conducted an informative and engaging session on social media safety, highlighting hacking risks and the importance of staying secure online. She advised participants not to share personal photos on social media, and cautioned against accepting friend requests from unknown individuals. The session also focused on social responsibility and media awareness, guiding participants to use social platforms wisely and stay protected in the digital world.

Shri. Vilas Kulkarni from AHEAD conducted an interactive session highlighting the importance of physical activities and social awareness. He also discussed recent developments in society and explained the negative impact of excessive use of social media on individuals and communities.

Shri. Venugopal conducted a session on financial literacy, emphasizing the importance of managing money wisely. He explained key practices such as saving regularly, maintaining records of expenses, and preparing a proper budget. The session also included information on Savings Bank (SB) account interest rates across different banks, along with an explanation of inflation and its impact on purchasing power and everyday life.

Shri. Lakshminarayan addressed the team on preparations for the annual examinations of Learning Centre students and the planning of Summer Camps during the vacation period. He also encouraged the team to actively support the local community in obtaining Yashaswini Cards, Ayushman Cards, and Labor Cards.

Participants were invited to attend the Annual Personality Development Camp scheduled for April 24th, 25th, and 26th. Teachers who had attended the camp in the previous year shared their experiences and insights with the group.

About 100 FLC teachers/volunteers came together as a team to discuss strategies for improving the quality of FLCs and to plan preparations for the upcoming student examinations and summer camp.

Educational scholarships (Vidyanidhi) were distributed to students by Karnataka Arya Vysya Charitable Trust and Abhyudaya.
