Swachh Bharat program was carried out by Volunteers and students of Abhyudaya at Harinagara area in Bangalore south. The program started with a road march. Children covered all nearby areas displaying placard. Around 150 children participate. Around 36 placards were carried displaying
different slogans to create awareness on cleanliness and hygiene. People signed a pledge to keep their surrounding clean. Around 1000 pamphlet on waste segregation were distributed . The pamphlet also consisted of garbage collection van driver number and BBMP health inspector numbers. Children performed a street play to create awareness about how garage dumped by
people creates health problem. Children also sang a song called Swachata Sankalp. Senior children participated and the cleaning program. Children also sang a special song which described the activities of Abhyudaya. The program was covered by Doordarshan. Local corporator and workers from BBMP also took part in the program.
