About 270 volunteers and FLC teachers participated in the Aarohana Avalokana meeting held on 26th January.

Shri Ramesh F, Retd. officer SBI took a session on Republic day and narrated the stories about Army soldiers who fought courageously to protect our freedom/Sovereignty and were awarded Param Veera Chakra.

Dr. M Jayaprakash, Deputy Director, Dept. of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Service, GoK, inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. During his address, he highlighted the importance of the thought process behind events such as Aarohana, which is providing a platform for underprivileged students to showcase their talents and excel in academics as well. He asked the gathering to have key takeaways from the event – civic responsibility towards resources such as food, water and power, giving back time to society on an ongoing basis, developing self-esteem to preserve our cultural roots. He quoted several relevant examples from Swami Vivekananda’s life.

Shri Venugopal, gave an overview and statistics of this year’s Aarohana events held at various locations across Karnataka.
