As part of the digital wellness initiative, special sessions on Internet De-addiction was taken by Dr. Hilarie Cash, Founder, reSTART Life, USA – for Yoga enthusiasts and Abhyudaya FLC teachers/volunteers.
She highlighted the importance of the addiction and mentioned about a new disease – “gaming disorder” included in International Classification of Diseases (ICD – 11) published by World Health Organization (WHO). She discussed several case studies of severe depression, performance degradation, Insomnia and prolonged time for cure through their rehabilitation programs.
She stressed the importance of identifying the traits early, so that the remedial measures are taken sooner than later.
