Coinciding with 21 years of Abhyudaya and 61 years of Keshava Kripa Samvardhana Samiti (KKSS), this year’s annual volunteers meet was held at Janaseva Vidya Kendra, Channenahalli on 11-13 April 2025. 220 volunteers were participated from across Karnataka representing their respective Free Learning Center (FLC’s) in this annual meet.

The event was started after registration and volunteers were guided for their rooms. After refreshments, Shri Lakshminarayan, CFO of Abhyudaya addressed regarding Jana sewa vidyakendra, Param Science project, Veda Vijnana Gurukula. He also narrated different sessions about Abhyudaya’s Sewa karya and their importance for the following 3 days.

Shri Ganapathi Hegde, Secretary, KKSS took the introduction of volunteers and he explained about Keshava Kripa Samvardhana Samiti and its relevance. He also narrated different sewa projects run under KKSS. For the volunteering job to be successful and meaningful, one should continue the chosen task on a continuous basis while dealing with:

  • varieties of people, irrespective of their language, caste, region, religion, social or economic status.
  • Governmental regulations.
  • Non cooperation from the communities

The next day started with Yoga and Mediation during the early morning session, along with chintana by Shri Mahabaleshwar Bhatt. The next session was activity based Balagokula workshop by Shri Parashivamurthy and Shri Basavaraju from Mysuru.

Shri Milind Gokhale, highlighted the importance of karyakartha in carrying out the task (karya). Varieties of desi games and quizzes were conducted by Shri Venugopal during the post-lunch session.

On the final day, after the early morning Ekatmata Stotra chanting, the entire team visited Medha Dakshina Murthy Temple where Abhyudaya volunteers and donors conducted Rudra Parayana. After the breakfast several of the volunteers shared their experiences including changes in their lives after associating with Abhyudaya.

During the valedictory session, Shri Thippeswamy, President KKSS, motivated the team about the importance of their contribution and highlighted the benefits of continuing this Sewa activity on an ongoing basis. He distributed the prizes to the winners during the games/quizzes and recognized a few selected senior volunteers for their service over the years.
